Number of Movements: 39 Pattern Diagram:

Step-by-Step
Description of Movements: The pattern begins when the instructor commands
the student to come to attention (cha-ryeot). When given this command, assume an Attention Stance on the X on the AB line, facing
D. This is followed by the instructor stating the pattern that the student will perform (Gwang-Gae teul).
On the command to assume the ready position (jun-bi), move the left foot to B to form a Parallel Stance with a Heaven Hand toward D. Remain in this parallel stance with a heaven hand toward D until given the command
to begin the pattern.
When the command to begin the pattern is given (si-jak), perform the following individual movements in sequence.
The pattern should be performed according to the Guidelines listed in General Choi Hong
Hi's Encyclopedia of Taekwon-Do, and presented in the section on essential points
in performing patterns.

in a circular motion) to form a close ready stance type B (full facing)
toward D.
2. Move the left
foot to D to form a left walking stance toward D, while executing (full facing)
an upset punch to D with the right forefist. Perform this move in a slow motion – slipping the left foot.
3. Move the right foot to D to form a right walking stance toward D, while executing
(full facing) an
upset punch to D with the left forefist.
Perform this move in a slow motion
– slipping the right foot.

block to D with the right palm. Perform this move in a double
stepping motion.
5. Move the right foot to C in a sliding motion to form a right L-stance toward D, while executing (half facing)

while executing (full facing) a
low front block with the right knifehand, striking
the left palm with the right knifehand (moving
both hands in a circular motion).
13. Execute
a pressing kick to E with the left footsword, keeping the position of the hands
as they were in move 12 above (the right knifehand on the left palm).
Perform moves
13 and 14 in a consecutive kicking motion.
14. Execute
a middle side piercing kick to E with the left footsword, keeping the position of the hands
as they were in both moves 12 and 13 above (the right knifehand on the left palm).
15. Lower the left foot to E to form
a right L-stance toward E, while executing (half facing) a high inward
strike to E with the right knifehand, bringing the left side fist in front
of the right shoulder

toward C, while executing
(side facing)
a side downward strike to E with the left side fist.
17. Execute

hands as they were in both moves 16 and 17 above (a side downward strike with the left side fist).
19. Lower the right foot to F to form a left L-stance toward F, while executing (half facing) a high inward strike to F with
the left knifehand, bringing the right side fist in front
of the left shoulder.

facing) a pressing
block to C with the left palm. Perform this move in a slow motion – slipping the right
foot.

foot to D in a stamping motion to form
a sitting stance toward F, while executing (side facing)
a high side strike to D with the right backfist.
Perform this move in
a stamping motion.
