Step-by-Step Description of Movements:
The pattern begins when the instructor commands the student to come to attention (cha-ryeot). When given this command, assume an Attention Stance on the X on the AB line, facing D. This
is followed by the instructor stating the pattern that the student will perform (Won-Hyo teul).
On the command to assume the ready position (jun-bi), move the left foot to B to form a Close Ready Stance type A toward D. Remain in this close ready stance
type A toward D until given the command to begin the pattern.
When the command
to begin the pattern is given (si-jak), perform the following individual movements in sequence.
The pattern should
be performed according to the Guidelines listed in General Choi Hong Hi's Encyclopedia of Taekwon-Do, and presented in the section on
essential points in performing patterns.
1. Move the left foot to B to form a right L-stance toward
B, while executing (half facing)
a twin forearm block to B.
2. While maintaining a right L-stance toward B, execute (half
facing) a high inward strike
to
B with the right knifehand, pulling the left side fist in front of the right shoulder.
3. Slip
the left foot to B to form a left fixed stance
toward B, while executing (half facing)
a middle side punch to
B with the left forefist.
4. Bring the ball of the left foot to the side of the right foot
facing D. Then, move the right foot to A
to form a left L-stance toward A, while executing (half
facing) a twin forearm block to A. 5.
While maintaining a left L-stance toward A, execute (half facing)
a high inward strike to A with the left knifehand, pulling the right side fist in front of the left shoulder.
6.
Slip the right foot to A to form a right fixed stance
toward A, while executing (half facing)
a middle side punch to
A with the right forefist.
7. Bring the ball of the right foot to the side rear of the left
foot facing D. Then, while pivoting on
the ball of the right foot form a right bending ready stance type A
(half facing)
toward
D, while
turning the face toward D.
8. Execute a middle side piercing kick to D with the left footsword. At
the same time, execute a
high side punch to D with the left forefist.
9. Lower
the left foot to D to form a right L-stance toward D, while executing (half facing)
a middle knifehand guarding block to D with the knifehand.
10. Move
the right foot to D to form a left L-stance toward D, while executing (half facing)
a middle knifehand guarding block to D with the knifehand.
11. Move
the left foot to D to form a right L-stance toward D, while executing (half facing)
a middle knifehand guarding block to D with the knifehand.
12. Move
the right foot to
D to form a right walking stance toward D, while executing (full facing)
a middle front thrust to D with the right straight fingertip,
pulling the back of the left fingertips under the right
elbow.
13. While pivoting on the ball of
the right foot and turning counterclockwise, move the left foot to E to form a right L-stance toward E, while executing (half
facing) a twin forearm
block to E.
14. While maintaining a right L-stance toward E, execute (half
facing) a high inward strike
to E with the right knife-hand,
pulling the left side fist in front of the right shoulder.
15. Slip the left foot to E to form a left fixed stance toward E, while executing (half facing)
a middle side punch to
E with the left forefist.
16. Bring the ball of the left foot to the side of the right foot
facing C. Then, move the right foot to
F to form a left
L-stance toward F, while executing (half facing) a twin forearm block to F.
17. While maintaining a left L-stance toward F, execute (half
facing) a high inward strike to F with the left knife-hand,
pulling the right side fist in front of the left shoulder.
18. Slip the right foot to F to form a right fixed stance toward F, while executing (half facing) a
middle side punch to
F with the right forefist.
19. Bring the right foot to the side of the left foot facing C with
the right arm extended to F. Then move the
left foot to C to form a left walking stance toward C, while executing
(reverse half facing) a circular block to CF with the right inner
forearm.
20. Execute a low front kick to C with the ball of the right foot,
keeping the position of the hands as they were in move 19 above
(a circular block position with the right inner forearm).
21. Lower the right foot to C to form a right walking stance toward C, while executing (full
facing) a middle front punch to C with the left forefist.
22. While maintaining a right walking stance toward C, execute (reverse half facing)
a circular block to CE with the left inner forearm.
23. Execute a low front kick to C with the ball of the left foot,
keeping the position of the hands as they
were in move 22 above (a circular block position with the
left inner forearm).
24. Lower the left foot to C
to form a left walking stance toward C, while executing (full
facing) a middle front punch to C with the right forefist.
25. Pivot on the ball of the left foot to form a left bending ready stance type A (half facing) toward C, while turning
the face toward C.
26. Execute a middle side piercing kick to C with the right footsword. At the same time, execute
a high side punch to C with the right forefist.
27. Lower the ball of the right foot to the side rear, toward BD,
on the CD line. Then, while pivoting
on the ball of
the right foot and turning counterclockwise, move the left foot to B to
form a right
L-stance toward
B, while executing (half facing)
a middle outer forearm guarding block to
B.
28. Bring the ball of the left foot to the side of the right foot facing D. Then,
move the right foot
to A to form a left
L-stance toward A, while executing (half facing) a middle outer forearm
guarding block to

After completing the last movement, wait one move interval and then
shout "Won-Hyo" as though it were a "gi-hap." Remain in the position of this last move until given the command to return to the ready
position (ba-ro).
END: When
the command to return to the ready position (ba-ro) is given, bring the right foot to the left foot to form a close
ready stance type A toward D. Remain in this stance until given the at-ease command (swi-eot).
