The stance is one (1) shoulder width wide, measured from the outside edge of the heels.  The feet are even and pointed slightly inward and therefore the stance has no length.  The weight is distributed evenly on both feet with the legs straight.  The fists are brought naturally over the thighs.  This stance is performed full or side facing.
